What is your food philosophy?
Our “Why”
Creating healthy happy learners by fostering positive eating experiences and empowering every learner to reach their potential through nutrition-focused food service solutions.
Who
Our teams building strong positive relationships within communities that produce and serve our food.
When
Through making small, sustainable changes every day, in the direction of providing nourishing meals, our goal is to help change our foodscape to one that will support the wellbeing outcomes of our children and their children, for generations to come.
What
Our lunches are packed with nutrients, sourced from wholefoods, that our children require for optimal growth, brain development and robust gut health. We develop sustainable relationships with suppliers who share our philosophies. We aim to encourage a positive relationship with food by promoting supportive eating environments. This allows for a natural curiosity and enthusiasm to explore and give meaning to their unique perception of kai.
How
Through the provision of nutritious school lunches using locally sourced, sustainable, and ethical ingredients, provided for all and produced and served by your local community. We host FEAST workshops for our students, teachers, and whanau to bring communities together over kai.
Where do you operate? We service schools all across the country, from the far North all the way down to Dunedin and Queenstown. Each school has a different model, so if you're part of the Ka ora, Ka ako programme, get in touch to find out how we can work with you.
What makes your food healthy? We follow strict criteria set out by the government as part of the programme, in fact, we worked with them at the very start of the programme to ensure food served to tamariki would be nutritious, delicious, and sustainable!
